Release Notes
Enhancements
We deployed following enhancement in this release and will be enabling it for all locations next week:
Open Cases/Pending Service Requests visibility refinements
Currently, only cases created within the last thirty days are displayed. Cases older than 30 days that may be waiting for parts, etc., will not be shown, which may result in a new case unnecessarily being created.
This enhancement allows you to view pending service requests and open or inactive cases when you create a case, regardless of how long ago it was created.
This will help reduce the number of duplicate cases.
Here is a what you will see on the Search screen:
If there are no pending service requests or open cases, nothing will be shown, and if there is one or more, then the "View" link will show highlighted yellow. Clicking the link will take you to the same screens you see today with some changes. The biggest change is that you can expect to see longer lists since you will now see items that are older than 30 days.
You can also see the list of open cases via the SHOW/EDIT ASSET screen:
The primary change here is replacing the CASE HISTORY and IN-PROGRESS CASES radio buttons with a single button labeled CASES, and adding the STATE column. The STATE column indicates if a case is "Inactive", meaning it has not been updated in the last 30 days.
You can also see the list of all service requests via a new tab on the SHOW/EDIT ASSET screen:
