Case V8.48.0
All Cases - Milestone Filters
You will soon be able to filter your case list by milestone directly from the All Cases screen. A new row of milestone filters will appear above the Cases table, with each filter showing the count of cases currently in that milestone. Selecting a milestone narrows the table to every case whose repair status falls under it, so you no longer need to check statuses one at a time to see where a case stands.
The Approval milestone is a good example: selecting it surfaces all cases sitting in an approval-related status — Approved, Pending Approval, or Declined — in one view. Combined with the Time on Status column, which shows how long a case has sat in its current status, this makes it easy to spot estimates that have been awaiting a decision the longest and prioritize follow-up accordingly.
Recalls & Campaigns
When a dealer defers or declines a recall or campaign operation, it now goes back into the network automatically. Any other dealer can then pick it up and complete it.
- If no other dealer has claimed it, you can still change your mind and approve it on your case.
- If another dealer has added it to their case, you can no longer approve or re-add it. This stops two dealers from working the same recall.
- The Campaigns & Recalls pop-up now shows the case number and dealer location next to "Quoted on [date]" when another dealer holds the operation. You can see who is working on it and contact them if you need to.
Asset Management API
The Asset Management API can now set a Service Advisor when it submits a service request.
-
New endpoint:
GET /service_providers/:id/service_advisorslists the users who can be the Service Advisor for a service provider. - Updated endpoint: the existing POST service request endpoint now accepts a Service Advisor.
-
Who appears in the list: dealer-side users who have an active role at that dealer that gives them access to Case-Pricing. Roles are set up in the platform.
Coming Soon:
Copy Existing Operations & Inspections
Builder users will soon no longer need to rebuild similar operations and inspections from scratch. You can copy an operation, including its complete inspection, parts, and outcomes. Each copy is a fully independent operation that its new owner can edit freely.
What’s new
- A new Copy control in the operation detail page header creates a duplicate of the operation.
- The copy includes:
- every variation, with its part lines and additional charges
- the full inspection: items, locations, outcomes and flags, default outcomes, and failed-outcome operation references
- documents and weblinks at every level
- Copies are fully independent. Changes to the copy never affect the source, and changes to the source never affect the copy.
