Reason for Repair for Operations
You can now set the Reason for Repair for an operation. You could always do it for a case, but now you can set it for each operation added to a case. This provides better transparency and understanding into what work was completed for a case and why.
- Once applied, the Reason for Repair will save to the operation and any prices will zero out as needed.
- If you then click Export to Warranty to export the case, the system will only export the operations tagged as Warranty or Goodwill (Goodwill displays as Policy in the XML).
You have two options for where you can set the Reason for Repair for an operation:
- On the Editing Operation page while you're editing details about the operation.
- On the Editing Case page where you manage all operations added to the case.
Both places include a Reason for Repair dropdown for you to select the reason.
The dropdown on the Editing Operation page provides a full list of all the Reasons for Repair allowed at your location.
The dropdown on the Editing Case page provides a small subset where you can apply it for multiple operations at a time.
