For the Case V8.25.0 Release, targeted for November 21st, we're planning the following improvements.
- Fixes
- Operations Table - Added support for negative values in the Update Charges modal.
- Enhancements
- Inspection Outcomes - Clearly categorize inspection items by urgency based on the severity of the outcome.
- Inspection Operations - If an inspection item fails and has a linked outcome operation, the system can transfer any notes entered on the failed inspection item into the Complaint Description field of the relevant outcome operation.
- Case Notes - In the Notes section of the Editing Case screen, we will add the ability to see the contact information of the Sender and Recipients by displaying a modal.
Case V8.25.0 (Targeted for November 21st):
Operations Table - Support for negative parts:
When a Part row includes a negative quantity, clicking the Update Charges button under the New Operations Table causes the Operations section to close or render empty. We're implementing a fix so that clicking Update Charges should open the modal and properly handle parts with negative quantities.
Inspection Outcomes - Categorize inspection items by urgency - based on severity:
We're making improvements to help users and customers better understand which failed inspection items are urgent, which are important but can wait, and which are simply informational. This will help all involved to make confident decisions about what to address now, what to plan for later, and what’s just for awareness.
Inspection Operations - Notes transfer to the Complaint Description field of the relevant outcome operation:
We're streamlining our inspection process to include an automatic transfer of any notes entered in the notes fields for inspection items where related repair operations are available. Inspection item outcome notes will soon automatically be added to the complaint field on the related operation (when added from the inspection), saving users time from having to rekey the information.
Case Notes - Sender/Recipients contact information modal:
We are planning to add a new icon to the main case notes area. This icon will open a Sender/Recipients modal where contact information, such as email and phone number, will be displayed.
Coming Soon:
DMS Case Repricing Refresh Enhancements:
Changing any of the following aspects of a case will trigger the repricing banner and case modal, advising the user that they now need to refresh their case to update the labor and parts pricing for locations integrated with DSI, Procede, Karmak, and CDK. Selecting the refresh feature places a call and returns the updated pricing from the location’s DMS.
Repricing Triggers:
- Department Change (for locations that have Department enabled)
- Customer Bill To Change
- Customer Number Change
- Asset Changes
- Pending Asset to Asset
- VIN Changed
Should the call fail, users will see a confirmation or failed icon within the modal. They can select the icons to refresh and place another call for updated pricing.
