Additional Charges Always Included on Estimate PDFs

What’s changed

The Additional Charges checkbox has been removed from all Estimate PDF options, including Print/PDF, Request Approval (QABs), and Send to Customer modals. Additional Charges are now always included on Estimate PDFs when they exist on a case.

Why this matters

Allowing Additional Charges to be hidden on Estimate PDFs created confusion around totals. Depending on how the checkbox was used, PDF totals could appear inconsistent with:

• Line-item subtotals (Parts, Labor, etc.), or

• The Estimate Total shown on the Edit Case screen

To ensure clarity and consistency, Additional Charges are now included by default and cannot be excluded from PDFs.

What to expect

• Additional Charges will always appear on all Estimate PDFs, including versioned and non-versioned PDFs

• Estimate totals on PDFs will consistently match totals shown in the case

• No action is required—this behavior is applied automatically for all locations and cases
