What’s changed
The Additional Charges checkbox has been removed from all Estimate PDF options, including Print/PDF, Request Approval (QABs), and Send to Customer modals. Additional Charges are now always included on Estimate PDFs when they exist on a case.
Why this matters
Allowing Additional Charges to be hidden on Estimate PDFs created confusion around totals. Depending on how the checkbox was used, PDF totals could appear inconsistent with:
Line-item subtotals (Parts, Labor, etc.), or
The Estimate Total shown on the Edit Case screen
To ensure clarity and consistency, Additional Charges are now included by default and cannot be excluded from PDFs.
What to expect
Additional Charges will always appear on all Estimate PDFs, including versioned and non-versioned PDFs
Estimate totals on PDFs will consistently match totals shown in the case
No action is required—this behavior is applied automatically for all locations and cases
